Blanket Bay Lodge is one of New Zealand's best kept secrets and well worth discovering.
New Zealanders have dubbed Queenstown, located on the South Island, as the country's adventure centre but the world acknowledges this area to be singularily spectacular. From the moment you arrive at Blanket Bay, there's an aura of peace here. Whether you've come to fly fish, enjoy the fabulous spa facilities or just curl up near the magnificent fireplace, you have truly found tranquility.
At the heart of the Lodge is the 30 ft. high Great Room with its vaulted timber beams and vast panorama windows. Three intimate dining rooms serve the delights of Pacific Rim cuisine which, like everything else, leaves you bereft of superlatives.
The three gracious 700 sq.ft. Suites feature an additional 400 sq.ft. private balcony, stone fireplaces, walk in closets and capacious bathrooms with separate steam showers and bathtubs. There are also five intimate lakeside rooms featuring their own balcony or terrace, super king size bed, sitting area and armoire. The ensuite bathroom comprises of granite topped double vanities and separate shower and bathtubs.
